HEALING FOR LIFE
Welcome to Ouroboros Reiki! my Reiki Healing website.
My journey started back in the South East of England when I was newly working as a Sports and Remedial Massage therapist.
I'd previously taught fitness, both in a gym and in classes, and needed something more to stretch my mind!
The physical aspect was not the first thing that attracted me to massage, (it was the amazing anatomy and physiology of the human body!), but it proved to be a skill I both excelled in and enjoyed immensely.
One day in Steyning, a client asked me if I had '‘healing hands'. I wasn't sure what she meant by that but my curiosity was piqued, so I enquired further. she told me my hands were emitting a warmth as I gently treated her shoulders. Wow!
I was so intrigued and this experience then opened me up to the possibility for new avenues of healing.
I'’m not sure how I was put in touch with Wrio Russell, a Reiki Master, but he was a close friend and colleague of Mel Cash, the founder of the London School of Sports Massage where I had previously trained, and he had taught there too.
I took my Reiki Levels I and II with him over the next two years and started to offer Reiki Healing as part of my treatment modalities.
I built up a hugely successful business working at several clinics including Sundial House Chiropractic Clinic and Shape Health Club in Brighton and Hove.
I also offered treatments in the comfort of people's own houses.
In 2003, I relocated to Cornwall and continued my practice but sadly I was under-resourced; gradually my positivity and my energy dwindled away and I was left drained and tired.
I gave up my work in 2008 and rested; attempting to heal myself through cranial osteopathy, acupuncture and other treatments.
It is a sad fact that many healing therapies can take their toll on the therapist,
having access to resources and support is perhaps one of the most important aspects we can, as therapists, pay attention to.
It is certainly the message we are giving to others!
Fortunately, during this time I came across Trudi Holden, who was newly qualified in massage and Reiki Healing herself and I immediately felt ‘in tune’ with her. Her treatments were always supportive and effective, and I felt a real lasting benefit from them. As I was also looking for a way to get back to the work I loved, I began to hold the thought in my mind that it might be through Reiki itself.
I took my Master Reiki attunement under Trudi on the 8th August 2020. for those with a spiritual leaning, this was right on the Lion's Gate of 2020! (and in numerology adds up to the number '2').

Reiki has offered me a way not only to heal myself, but also to provide that healing to others. As a ‘born healer’, I am extremely excited and positive to be able to return to the work I love.
I practise Reiki Healing, massage and nature grounding work from a beautiful location nr Lostwithiel. Being in touch with the natural world is extremely important to me and the energies from nature are powerfully healing in themselves.
